We are the culmination of all of our experiences in life. Here are some of my lessons learned from my first stint solo traveling!
Think you need a ton of money to go on a backpacking trip through Asia? Wrong! Here’s how I pulled off my trip on $30 a day!
I was rethinking my decision of going home so soon and completely regretted it. So I did what any sensible young person would: I booked a flight back to Borneo!
Gateway to the orient, Singapore was the last stop of my first solo adventure. I only had a few days here, but definitely made the best of it! Chili crabs anyone?!
The final stop of my west to east adventure on Java Island: Banyuwangi. Not a bad place to finish off with a trek on Mount Ijen’s famous caldera! Talk about tickling the senses!
Java is truly an island with a thousand waterfalls and no better place to start exploring them than in Malang. Oh did I mention it’s home to active volcanoes?!
My next stop on Java Island, Yogyakarta, proved itself to be an incredible adventure. Scooter convoys at dawn, chasing waterfalls, temples at golden hour, famous street food, it had it all!
Had I known what would be in store for me on Java Island I would have gone sooner. This place is the gem in the bosom of SE Asia. You’re free to roam among the jungle here.
Part two of my stay on Bali adventure. The last few days of my trip both opened my heart and filled my soul more than I imagined the island could. From hiking volcanoes to suckling pig and even roasting coffee beans.
I never thought I would find myself on Bali, but here I was in all of her glory. Find out what happens during my five days on the island and if it was worth it!
